Gaston man charged after law enforcement says he distributed child pornography

Gaston, SC (Paul Kirby) – A Gaston man has been charged with sexual exploitation of a minor after a tip was made to the CyberTipline of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The arrest was made public Friday by South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson.

According to AG Wilson’s office, Vincente Montes Higuera, 54, of Gaston was charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. The arrest was made by investigators from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) along with the S.C. Attorney General's Office and a member of the state's ICAC Task Force.
A tip let to Higuera’s arrest according to investigators. Agents that were involved allege that Higuera possessed and distributed files of children being sexual abused.
Higuera was arrested on Tuesday, September 8th and was charged with four counts of second degree criminal sexual exploitation of a minor.
