Gaston PD makes arrest after suspect found passed out in car with drugs, illegal firearms, and drugs

Gaston, SC 09/11/2023 (Paul Kirby) - On Thursday, September 7, 2023, officers with the Town of Gaston Police Department received a call in reference to a unconscious occupant in a vehicle. Upon making contact with the occupants of the vehicle a probable cause search yielded a large number of narcotics.

According to Chief Stephen Watkins of the Gaston PD, Dakota Shepherd was taken into custody on several possession with intent to distribute narcotic charges as well as weapons violation charges. Shepherd has been booked into the Lexington County Detention Center and is awaiting a bond hearing.
