Gilbert High School Senior Kennedy Gooding earns golf scholarship

Gilbert, SC 02/02/2022 - Gilbert High School Senior Kennedy Gooding recently earned a Bob Handler Foundation scholarship from the Women’s South Carolina Golf Association and the S.C. Junior Golf Foundation.

Each year, there are three $2,000 scholarships awarded to junior girl golfers in South Carolina interested in pursuing higher education, but not necessarily as student-athletes. Criteria for these scholarships include demonstrating an aptitude for golf, reflecting the game’s positive values, and a record of accomplishment of goals in golf, school and community.

Gooding will attend Anderson College in the fall and plans to major in public relations.
