Lexington, SC (Diana Nation) - Thursday at approximately 6 PM, two vehicles collided head-on on US highway 1 near Saber Drive in Lexington. As a result of this collision, two people died.
This crash occurred when a 2018 Toyota Rav 4 traveling South on US highway 1 crossed the centerline striking a 2013 Chevy Silverado pickup truck. The driver of the Toyota was wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. The driver of the pickup truck was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. As of now, The Lexington County coroner's office has not released the names of the deceased drivers.
This collision remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
