Hollow Creek, SC 10/14/2021 (Paul Kirby) - Construction, expansion, and renovations seem to have become a way of life for Craig and Meredith Amick, the owners of Hollow Creek Distillery. During all the boutique distilleries’ growth and change, their newest spirit has rested comfortably in a toasted oak barrel soaking in the essence and aromas that complete the palate of a premium four-year-old bourbon. Now, the wait is over, and Craig and Meredith are ready to share this wonderful spirit with you.
The first bourbon coined in the family name, William Alan, pays homage to both sides of the family lineage as well as the family’s legacy of nine generations in the Leesville, SC region. Driven by faith, family and hard work, the Amicks chose to represent the brand by tying past generations of the Amick family, with the future of the family in their son’s name, William.
The start of Batch #1’s pre-sale event will begin on Saturday October 16th. The first orders will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. After that special pre-sale event, sales of this whiskey will take place during regular operating hours until the initial reserve is sold out.
Visitors are welcome to stop by Hollow Creek Distillery to grab a limited edition, custom engraved bottle of William Alan. While there, they can also sample the distillery’s full line of spirits, enjoy a cocktail, and pre-view the renovations of the facilities. Guests can also shop with Stoney Creek Cigars, Duck Dad Flags, and EW Carvings from 12 noon to 4 p.m.
The significance of the launch ties in with Breast Cancer Awareness month and serves as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society’s Real Men Wear Pink campaign. Amick was approached by fellow small business owner Michael Wanco, owner of Bolder Engraving, to collaborate on an event that would promote cancer awareness and advocacy while raising funds. A portion of every pre-sale bottle will be donated. The various fundraising events of the Real Men Wear Pink campaign are set to run through the end of the year.
Guests are encouraged to visit during normal business hours: Thursday, 1 pm – 7 pm; Friday, 10 am – 7 pm; and Saturday, from 10 am – 7 p.m. Patrons should also watch for exclusive opportunities and special events on the distillery’s Facebook page. Visitors who stop by on a Saturday during their birth month are treated to a complimentary birthday bottle.
Upcoming events include the Relaunch of the newly rebranded High Cotton Bourbon on November 13th; a Small Business Saturday Holiday Spirits & Shopping on November 27th; and a Hot Chocolate Holiday Social on December 18th.
