Irmo officers arrest suspect in several burglaries

Irmo, SC (Paul Kirby) – According to Irmo Police Chief Courtney Dennis, officers with the Irmo Police Department have made an arrest in several burglaries that happened recently. Dennis said that officers took Quavian Bing, 31, of Irmo into custody Sunday without incident.

Dennis said that Investigators collected evidence at the crime scenes that led them to Bing. He has been charged with burglary after he apparently broke into the Silver Fox Grill in the 7400 Block of Broad River Road on October 25th. Then, on October 29th, he forced entry into the Burger King and attached Seven-Eleven convenience store in the 7700 Block of Broad River Road. During these burglaries, Bing stole the cash registers that contained an undisclosed amount of cash.

Dennis said Monday that his officers, with the assistance of agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, were able to locate Bing. He was staying at a hotel on Columbiana Drive.

Bing is charged with three counts of burglary in the second degree which involved violence. This is a felony charge that’s punishable by imprisonment of not more than fifteen years upon conviction. Bing was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center Sunday and was still there Monday morning waiting for a bond hearing that had been scheduled.
