West Columbia, SC 07/23/2026 - Moore Bradley Myers (MBM) Founding Senior Partner, S. Jahue “Jake” Moore, Sr., has been named one of the 2026 Icon Honors recipients. Icon Honors recognizes South Carolina business leaders for their notable success and demonstration of strong leadership inside and outside of their fields. Being named an Icon is a lasting distinction, one that reflects not just professional achievement but the kind of leadership that shapes communities and inspires the next generation.

Moore practices in all areas of civil litigation, education law and criminal law. He has served as a community advocate and staunch legal counsel for his clients across the Midlands for more than 50 years. He is passionate about conservation as well as literacy and education. Moore has donated trees to several local churches, roads, interchanges, churches, schools and parks. He also worked to secure land for the Irmo Veterans Park.

Notably, the Town of Irmo’s Irmo Community Park was renamed Moore Park in his honor. In addition to his many legal and philanthropic accolades, Moore received the Order of the Palmetto, South Carolina’s highest civilian honor. He taught at the Joseph P. Rice School of Law and has spoken at numerous legal education seminars. He also served on the Legislative Audit Council for the South Carolina General Assembly, as alumni adviser to Pi Kappa Alpha at his Alma Mater, Presbyterian College, for 25 years, as chairman of the USC Board of Visitors, as a Sunday school teacher at Ashland Methodist Church and as a founding member of both the West Columbia Beautification Committee and Irmo’s Arbor Day Committee.

“The 2026 Icon Honors recipients are an impressive group of leaders. They have worked tirelessly to excel in their careers, but they work just as hard to spark innovation and progress, meeting a variety of challenges in South Carolina and beyond,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of Bridge Tower Media/SCBIZ. “These visionaries are actively engaged in the community, and they mentor other leaders as well. We at SCBIZ are

pleased to honor them.”
