Lexington, SC 07/19/2022 - Judd Larkins (D) is for running for U.S. Congress against longtime incumbent Joe Wilson (R). This race involves South Carolina's second Congressional District. Larkin says he is running to secure the future for both our younger and older generations.
As a young candidate, Judd says he knows first-hand how the issues of today are affecting our younger generations. This is why his campaign says it is working to highlight the issues and concerns that our younger generations have when starting their adult lives. Whether it is the overburdensome sting of student loans, navigating the housing affordability crisis where rent and homeownership costs are skyrocketing, a stagnant minimum wage, or a job market that currently does not offer up many opportunities for younger people, Larkins believes these issues have to be addressed now and in a meaningful way. That way the younger generation will not be burdened with debt and expenses and can begin living their lives to the fullest, according to Larkins.
For our older generations entering into retirement, Larkins says he would work to ensure that they have what they need for our changing economy, especially for those living on fixed incomes. Social security payments need to reflect the growing cost of goods and services, and life-saving medicines must be made more affordable, according to Larkins’ campaign.
Larkins believes that his platform is about creating a future all of us want to see for America. He says it’s about setting us up for success tomorrow, next year, and for generations down the line.
Judd Larkins has been married for almost 10 years to Leslie who is from Lexington County. He works for a family-owned electrical company and is co-owner of several donut shops in the state. He is running to secure our future, invest in our rural communities, and protect our democratic values. You can learn more about Judd Larkins at JuddLarkins.com
