Lake Murray marina owner presented with framed safety poster by local Coast Guard Auxiliary

Lake Murray, SC- Carl Sundius, the owner of Southshore Marina, was presented with a framed safety poster from the Lake Murray Coast Guard Auxiliary. It was given to Sundius on October 16, 2020.

The poster, featuring a colorful “Wear It” graphic produced by the National Safe Boating Council, is a reminder for boaters to wear a life jacket and has been placed in the new Southshore Marina customer lounge. Barbara Burchfield, District Officer-Recreational Boating Safety Visitation Program, presented the poster and recognized Sundius for the many years of support that he and the team at Southshore Marina has shown for the issue of boating safety and the Lake Murray Squadron of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.

As a safety partner, Southshore acts as a location where boaters can learn more about boating safety regulations. They can also pick up free brochures about boating safely that are provided by the Coast Guard Auxiliary for anyone who plans to enjoy boating.
