Lexington, SC 03/28/2024 - Taylor Bell, a young local attorney and conservative, officially filed to run for the South Carolina Senate District 10 seat on Friday, March 22. He is challenging incumbent Billy Garrett and Lexington dentist Charles Bumgardner. All are running in the Republican Primary.
Bell is an attorney at The Jeffcoat Firm in Lexington. He is also a volunteer flag football coach with River Bluff Youth Sports and oversees the River Bluff Youth Wrestling Club. During his coaching tenure, Cardinal Newman won two SCISA State Championships, and River Bluff won five straight undefeated region titles and an SCHSL 5A State Championship.
His campaign is focused on upholding conservative values and fighting for families. “Whether you look at the schools, the poor infrastructure, low-paying jobs, heavy taxes, or government corruption, one thing is clear. Columbia has failed hardworking families, which is why I entered this race,” said Bell. “As a husband and the father of two young kids, I want to be a fighter and voice in Columbia for the families in my district and across our state.”
Taylor lives in Lexington with his wife of 10 years, Kiersten; son, Tanner; daughter, Summer; and rescue dog, Brodie.
