Lexington, SC 05/23/2022 - The Central South Carolina Habitat for Humanity announced recently the appointment of Town of Lexington’s Councilmember Ron Williams to their Executive Board of Directors.
Councilmember Williams has served as a Town Councilmember for the Town of Lexington since 2014. He retired in 2020 after a 26 year career in the boating industry and currently handles restructuring and property acquisitions. Councilmember Williams has been involved in community service most of his life including volunteer work with Lexington Elementary School, the Boy Scouts of America and St Mary’s Episcopal Church.
Councilmember Williams previously served on Habitat for Humanity Board’s Advisory Committee and he “is honored to serve on the Board for Habitat and excited to continue the progress of making the Lexington community the best it can be for everyone”. He stated that he looks forward to working with Ms. Suzanne Brooks, Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity and her great staff as they work toward Habitat’s vision to have a world where everyone has a decent place to live which brings people together to build homes, community and hope.
Habitat recently built several homes in Lexington and completed 272 new and renovated homes since 1985. ReStore and Retail is also operated by Habitat for Humanity.
