Swansea, SC (Paul Kirby) 11/23/2020 - The Lexington County Bar Association recently contributed to the parents, children and staff of Lexington County School District Four. They did so by making a monetary donation to the Lexington Four’s Early Childhood Center.

The County Bar Association, a professional association of lawyers organized in Lexington County, gave $500 to the district to support literacy in the Swansea and Gaston areas of Lexington County. According to a district spokesperson, their donation will help create home libraries for students so they can enjoy reading when they are not at school.

A spokesperson for the district said after the donations was presented, “The district and school are so thankful for their generous donation!” The purchase and distribution of the books should begin soon.
