Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher identifies Georgia man killed in 3 car crash late Tuesday night

Gaston, SC 07/11/2025 (Paul Kirby) - Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has positively identified the man who died in a multi-vehicle accident in the 4200 block of Fish Hatchery Road near Pine Arbor Court in the Gaston area of Lexington County on July 9, 2025. According to Coroner Fisher, Samuel Andre Butler, 40, of Ludowici, GA, was killed in this collision.
The SC Highway Patrol has said that Butler’s car was traveling eastbound on Pine Arbor Ct when he pulled onto Fish Hatchery Road. His car was struck by another vehicle traveling southbound on Fish Hatchery Road. The other vehicle then careened into the parking lot of a small business at that location striking a third car. Butler, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead due to his injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate the incident.
