Lexington County Coroner releases the name of the victim of vehicle vs. pedestrian collision

Lexington, SC 07/21/2022 (Paul Kirby) - Lexington County Coroner, Margaret Fisher has now positively identified the individual who died in a hit and run collision on Monday, July 18, 2022, in Lexington County. This collision occurred on Interstate 26 near St. Andrews Road and the 106-mile marker around 11:45 p.m.

According to Coroner Fisher, Sierra Lachelle Parker, 23, of Columbia was in the westbound lanes when she was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene. Parker was pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries sustained in the collision.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and MAIT continue to investigate the incident.
