Lexington County deputies searching for suspect in fatal stabbing

Irmo, SC 09/24/2021 (Paul Kirby) – Lexington County sheriff’s investigators are searching for a man they say is a suspect in a fatal stabbing. This crime occurred on Baymore Lane between Piney Grove Road and Harbison Boulevard just northeast of the Town of Irmo, SC. Investigators say Julian Jamel Flott is wanted in connection to the homicide.


Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher said Friday morning that on Thursday, September 23, 2021, shortly after 06:00 p.m., Kevin Leon Miller, 38, was found stabbed to death at the Baywater Lane address. Fisher said that he had been stabbed in the chest after an altercation.

Deputies quickly set up a perimeter Thursday evening in the vicinity of the crime scene and actively searched for Flott for some time. When they were unable to locate the suspect during their exhaustive search, they broke their perimeter down and the search for the suspect was turned over to investigators. They also released a photograph of Flott that in which he appears to be making a gang symbol with his hand as he leans on the hood of a dark BMW. .
