Lexington, SC 10/10/2021 (Paul Kirby) – Have you ever thought that perhaps your job just wasn’t the perfect match for you? Perhaps your pay is low, or you have little to no benefits. Maybe you get bored easily, need more excitement in your life, or want to have a sense that you’ve really helped someone when your workday is over. If any of this describes you, Lexington County’s 911 Job Fair may need to be added to your calendar.
The Lexington County Department of Emergency Services is hosting a job fair to fill available positions within the 911 Communications Division. When you work in this division, you are a lifeline between those who need help and the people who are professionally trained to provide that help on a daily basis. Whether you are communicating with law enforcement, EMS, firefighters, or simply an animal control officer providing help for a litter of discarded puppies, you can and do make a difference while at work every day.
The job fair is set for Wednesday, Oct. 20, and will be held in two sessions: one from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. and one from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. On-site interviews will be included. The job fair will be held at 432 Ball Park Road, Lexington 29072.
Qualified candidates must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED and must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
