Lexington, SC 07/01/2022 - Lexington County's Department of Solid Waste has released the modified scheduled they will be following the week of Independence Day. According to the county's Public Information Officer Jessica Imbimbo, Residential Curbside Solid Waste and Recycling Collection in the unincorporated areas of Lexington County will operate on a partial adjusted starting next Monday.
Residential Curbside Pickup in Unincorporated Areas of Lexington County
According to Imbimbo, there will be no collection will be made on Monday, July 4th due to the holiday. Monday’s collection will be made on Tuesday, July 5th and subsequent pick-ups will be delayed one day with Friday’s collection on Saturday, July 9th. Normal schedule pick-ups will resume Monday, July 11th.

Collection and Recycling Centers
All eleven Lexington County Collection and Recycling Centers will be closed on Monday, July 4th but will operate as usual on Sunday, July 3rd from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, July 6th from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Lexington County Landfill
The Lexington County Solid Waste Management Landfill, located at 498 Landfill Lane, off Highway 302 in the Edmund community, will be closed on Monday, July 4th. The landfill will open on Tuesday, July 5th at 7:00 a.m.
Solid Waste Administrative Offices
The administrative offices of the Lexington County Department of Solid Waste Management will be closed on Monday, July 4th for the holiday and will reopen on Tuesday, July 5th.
