Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – Young Miss McKinley Roebuck, 9, and Miss Kaitlyn Fox, 12, recently won the National All-Star United States pageant in Savannah, Georgia. Both are residents of Lexington County.
McKinley Roebuck won the title of Preteen All-Star United States for 2020. Kaitlyn Fox was crowned Junior Teen All-Star United States for 2020 after the judging was completed.
McKinley and Kaitlyn had both worked on character building community service projects for several months before they were crowned. These community projects are a key part of the pageant competition and their work contiues.
Recently, the reigning Miss All-Star United States and Miss Teen All-star United States traveled to South Carolina to help with both ladies’ community service. The four national queens donated over 100 pounds of food to McKinley's favorite service group, Homeless No More. They also wrote thank you notes to those serving in the military for Kaitlyn’s service project.
While in South Carolina, the national queens enjoyed walking the Lake Murray Dam as a part of the virtual walk for Pulmonary Fibrosis. Kaitlyn is currently collecting socks and undergarments for Transitions Homeless Shelter’s Socktoberevent and McKinley will soon be collecting more nonperishable breakfast items for Homeless No More. Additionally, all of the national queens will join together to participate in the virtual walk for Breast Cancer this month.
