Lexington County School District One Announces Limited School Choice Opportunities for 2027–2028 School Year
Lexington, SC 11/04/2026 - Families interested in exploring school options for the upcoming 2027–2028 school year will have an opportunity through Lexington County School District One’s Limited School Choice Program.
The program will offer 10 available seats per participating school across 15 designated elementary, middle, and high schools.
Parents and guardians who wish to apply must complete an online application by November 13, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Proof of residency is required as part of the application process.
If the number of applications exceeds the available seats at a participating school, the district will conduct a random lottery on November 18, 2026, to determine placement.
There are several important conditions families should understand before applying. Parents or guardians are responsible for providing transportation to and from the selected school. Additionally, school choice placements may be revoked due to enrollment capacity, excessive absences or tardies, Level III offenses, suspensions, expulsions, or failure to meet program requirements.
Families interested in applying or learning more about eligibility and participating schools can visit the Lexington County School District One Student Services School Choice webpage for application information and program details.
