Lexington County School District One honors 1,770 graduates this week

Lexington, SC (06/08/2021) - Lexington County School District One honors 1,770 graduates this week. Graduations were scheduled to began today, Tuesday, June 8, and continue through Saturday, June 12.

The district’s goal is to have the most authentic graduation ceremonies possible while working hard to keep everyone safe. Schools will protect graduates, their six guests, and staff at all times while they are on campus through strict adherence to social distancing guidelines. All graduations will take place on stadium fields at 8 a.m. Although the ceremonies will happen early in the morning, the ceremonies have been modified to reduce the amount of time the graduates will need to be in the sun in their robes. All staff, graduates, and their families will arrive at pre-assigned times. Unvaccinated individuals are asked to wear masks. The district will livestream each modified commencement ceremony and post the video on the district’s website. About the Tuesday, June 8, Pelion High School Graduation
