Lexington, SC 0615/2022 - Lexington County School District One’s Tracy T. Lucas, CPPB, CPPO, has announced her plans to retire effective June 29, 2022. She has spent the last 23 years working as the district’s procurement director.
With a career spanning almost 35 years, Lucas began working in 1987 for the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, assisting with the overall management of procurement operations for the agency. Lucas was hired in 1999 as the district’s procurement director when the district became subject to the South Carolina Consolidated Procurement Code and Regulations.
Lucas graduated from Midlands Technical College with a degree in business management. She is a certified professional public buyer (CPPB), as well as a certified public procurement officer (CPPO). She completed the Procurement Officer’s Level One Certification Program in 2010.
She is a member of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing Officials and the South Carolina Association of Governmental Purchasing Officials, where she served as a conference committee member and secretary, and received the President’s Award for Outstanding Agency in 2015.
