Lexington County School District Three announces Mark Dudley as the new Assistant Principal of Batesburg-Leesville High School

Batesburg-Leesville, SC 05/21/2024 - Lexington County School District Three announced today that Mark Dudley has been named the new Assistant Principal of Batesburg-Leesville High School. Mr. Dudley, who was approved by the Lexington Three Board of Trustees during its May meeting, will officially begin his new role at BLHS on July 1, 2024.

 

Mr. Dudley received a Bachelor of Science degree from Presbyterian College in 2002. He later furthered his education at Fort Hays State University, earning a master’s in educational leadership in 2019. Mr. Dudley has dedicated fourteen years to teaching social studies, currently serving as a 7th and 8th grade social studies teacher at Beechwood Middle School where he has worked for the past five years. Prior to this, he taught at White Knoll High School for four years and W. Wyman King Academy for five years.

Alongside his teaching career, Mr. Dudley has built an impressive coaching portfolio. For the past three years, he has served as the JV pitching coach at Lexington High School. Previously, he held coaching positions as the Varsity pitching coach at Cardinal Newman School, White Knoll High School, and W. Wyman King Academy. He also served as a B-team football coach at White Knoll High School for three years, a Varsity football coach at W. Wyman King Academy for five years, and a middle school football coach at Beechwood Middle School for two years.

 

Mr. Dudley shares his love of the education field with his wife, Mary, who serves as a reading interventionist in Lexington County School District One. The pair has been married for twenty years and resides in Batesburg-Leesville.
