Lexington County Sheriff’s Department assisting with Richland County case near Gilbert

Gilbert, SC – 04/29/2021 (Paul Kirby) – Deputies with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department have been on Quattlebaum Road near Bagpipe Road outside of Gilbert both Wednesday and Thursday with an active investigation underway. According to Captain Adam Myrick, spokesman for Sheriff Koon, they are assisting the Richland County Sheriff's Department with a kidnapping case that led them to a property in Lexington County.
A one point, Myrick called their work a, “death investigation related to a Richland County kidnapping case.” He also said that “no arrests have been made, although we have interviewed some persons of interest.”
Captain Myrick went on to explain that Lexington County is sharing information with Richland County deputies and the Lexington County Coroner's Office.
