St. Andrews, SC (Paul Kirby) – A spokesman for the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department said they are trying to find a man they say attempted to rob a store. The man in the attached photo that is wearing the white hat tried to hold up a business on St. Andrews Road on Wednesday, October 28, 2020.
Investigators say that the man acted as if he had a weapon in his pocket. He demanded cash but when the nervous employee couldn’t get the cash register to open, he fled without the money. A string of these robberies has occurred in that area in the past few weeks. Most are close to interstate interchanges.
The investigators are also looking to identify another man that was in the store prior to the robbery. They‘d like to talk to him and see if he knows anything about this crime.
