St. Andrews, SC (Paul Kirby) - Investigators with the Lexington County Sheriff's Department are investigating a series of robberies that have recently happened at stores close to interstate on and off ramps. These all occurred in the St. Andrews area of the county.
Investigators say that in each instance, one man has entered the store with his face covered well. He appears to be black in the surveillance photos although in several photos, it’s difficult to see his skin at all. He also is in the habit of wearing some sort of jacket during each robbery although they have been different in most cases. He wears several different styles of caps that are pulled down low over his head to conceal his identity. Witnesses believe that he is between the ages of 18 and 35 years old.
In each case, the store’s employees say that he keeps a hand in his jacket pocket as if he has a weapon. All of these are happening near I-26 which might indicate he is driving onto the interstate after each armed robbery to make a quick getaway.
These are the store locations that have been hit in Lexington County so far:
Oct. 18 – Circle K, 2201 Bush River Rd
Oct. 20 – Speedway, 637 St. Andrews Rd

Oct. 21 – Pops, 441 Piney Grove Rd
Oct. 23 – CVS, 100 Outlet Pointe Blvd
