Lexington County Sheriff’s deputies respond to Lexington High School for potential safety threat

Lexington, SC 03/28/2024 – Thursday morning, deputies with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department responded to Lexington High School after a potential safety threat was reported to an administrator. During this incident, they were in constant communication with Lexington County School District One administration.



After some time, the deputies found no credible threat. While they were investigating the threat, extra deputies were on campus assisting with the in the follow up. At 12:01 p.m., deputies cleared the school of any threat and the school’s operations have returned to normal.
