Lexington District Two cancels all afterschool activities and programs

West Columbia, SC 01/08/2025 - Lexington Two after-school activities and programs on Friday, January 10, are canceled, due to the forecast arrival of a possible wintry mix late that afternoon.

Canceled activities include, but are not limited to, athletic events, practices, and conditioning; extracurricular activities and rehearsals; after-school programs; Boys and Girls Clubs; and adult education classes.

Several athletic events previously scheduled for Friday have been moved ahead a day to Thursday, January 9. Schools will contact athletes and families with this information.

The district will continue to monitor weather forecasts and conditions.  Should any further scheduling changes be necessary, the district will communicate them by no later than mid-day Thursday, January 9, through our communications phone and email systems, as well as social media, websites, and traditional media.
