Lexington man accused in three more arson cases

Lexington, S.C. 04/13/2021 – A Lexington man has been arrested in connection to three arson investigations that started last November.

Corey Wayne Roscow, 28, is charged with three counts of third-degree arson, according to arrest warrants. Roscow was charged with two counts of third-degree arson last month, according to Lexington County Detention Center records.

“Roscow is accused of setting fire to two abandoned buildings and an abandoned car on James Dunbar Road last year,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “Witnesses told us he was on the scene of all three fires and he appeared to try to avoid law enforcement near each scene.”

The State Law Enforcement Division, the Springdale Police Department and the Lexington County Fire Service joined deputies in the arson investigations, according to Koon.

Roscow was arrested Monday. He’s been released from the detention center after meeting conditions of his bond.
