Lexington notifies the public about sewer spills

Lexington, SC 05/12/2025 - Due to recent heavy rainfall, the Town of Lexington is experiencing ongoing or potential Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSOs) affecting Twelvemile Creek and Fourteenmile Creek downstream of Corley Mill Road. Additionally, there is a potential SSO impacting Lake Murray near Spence Drive. Signs have been posted at the affected locations to alert the public.

The South Carolina Department of Environmental Services has been notified and the Town is
actively working to limit any further impact.
