Lexington PD arrest 2, seize guns, counterfeit money, and drugs after traffic stop

Lexington, SC 07/19/2023 (Paul Kirby) – Town of Lexington Police officers made a traffic stop overnight after they notice a vehicle make several violations. After pulling the vehicle over, they ended up with probable cause to arrest 2 occupants. They also seized 2 stolen guns out of Richland County, a half-pound of marijuana, and several stacks of counterfeit money. This was all done by LPD’s Bravo Shift of their Patrol Division.

The individuals were charged with various traffic and license violations. Those charges included Habitual Traffic Offender, Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Unlawful Carry of a Firearm.


On their social media page. A spokesperson for the Lexington Police Department said, “Proactive traffic enforcement goes a long way in keeping our community safe. It is part of our ongoing strategic plan to lower crime and increase traffic safety throughout the Town of Lexington, SC.”
