Lexington, SC 06/07/2022 (Paul Kirby) - The Lexington Police Department is once again asking the public for their assistance in locating two suspects they believe were working together to commit theft and fraud. Police say that one of the women would distract a victim while the other stole their wallets from their purses. They would then take the victim’s valuables from the wallets.
Police say that to date, they have purchased over $1,000 in gift cards with the stolen credit cards from these wallets. The detective working these cases is aware of incidents of purchases happening at Lowes Home Improvement, Office Depot, and Walgreens.
