Lexington, SC 06/27/2024 (Paul Kirby)- The Lexington Police Department is seeking the public’s help to find the alleged shoplifter pictured below. On June 9, 2024, the individual entered Best Buy at 5135 Sunset Boulevard, and proceeded to the Electronics Department.  She selected $380 worth of merchandise and exited the store without paying. The female perpetrator was last seen entering the passenger side of a Ford F-150 bearing South Carolina license plate 8439SJ.

This focus on Best Buy seems to fit the organized gang of criminals Lexington officers explained last month. At that time, the police said that these gangs focused on retail theft from one or more stores taking high dollar items that are easy to resell on-line. Several months ago, the gang was focused on Ulta Beauty. They now seem to have shifted focus to expensive computer parts.

Please contact Detective Arrington with any information on the identity of this individual at 803-358-1514 or by email at tarrington@lexsc.gov.
