Lexington PD investigating drive by shooting

Lexington, SC 06/27/2021 (Paul Kirby) - Officers with the Lexington Police Department are asking the community for help in an investigation into a shots fired incident in Lexington. According to a spokesperson for the department, this shooting incident occurred on Monday, June 28, 2021, in the 300 block of Coventry Lakes Drive.


At approximately 1:30 p.m., officers were dispatched in reference to a shots fired call. It is believed that an unknown vehicle drove by the residence and fired a weapon into the house.

Upon arrival of the first officers, contact was made with the victim who stated that he had been having an ongoing social media dispute with another individual. That person said he believed that person fired the weapon into the residence. Officers found evidence to support that there has been a shooting. No injuries have been reported in relation to this incident.
