Lexington, SC 05/13/2022 - Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green has invited the public to the Market at Icehouse this Saturday for the first of several Coffee with a Cop events where trained officers will be offering child passenger car seat checks as well.
After such a great response to last summer’s Coffee with a Cop events at the Market at Icehouse, located at 107 West Main Street in downtown Lexington, they will have coffee and baked goods from O’Hara’s Bakery Café once each month May through September.
Officers and Volunteers in Police Services (V.I.P.S.) members look forward to serving complimentary cups of hot or iced house blend coffee. Plan on taking a few minutes to speak with the police officers there, have your questions answered, or talk with them about what’s going on where so many live, work, and play.

The safety of children riding in cars is a continued focus for the Lexington Police Department and Child Passenger Seat Technicians. They are ready to check car seats for families who stop by. A LPD tent will be set up in the Icehouse Amphitheater and Pavilion parking lot and parking spaces will be coned off for those who would like to pull in and have their child’s car seat checked.
The Coffee with a Cop and CPS Check events will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m. on the following dates at the Market at Icehouse:
May 14, 2022
