Lexington PD trying to identify shoplifters from a Circle-K

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) - Officers from the Lexington Police Department are asking their community if they can help to identify two shoplifters. Officers say the two men took items from the Circle K on South Lake Drive and left without paying for them.

According to officers the two men went into the store at the intersection of South Lake Drive and Glassmaster Road and stole several cartons of cigarettes. Video surveillance footage then shows them getting into a late model, dark colored 4 door Chevrolet and leaving the store.

Both men are black and appear to be in their 20s or 30s. One has a thin build and the other is stocky. At the time that they committed the crime one of the men was wearing clothes that looked as if he did some sort of construction work. He had on boots and a cap on his head. The other was dressed very casually. He was wearing black short pants, a plain white T shirt, and sandals. Of course, since the time of the shoplifting incident they have changed clothes still, the one that appears to do construction work may wear similar clothes every day. The other seems to be a casual kind of guy. Clothes often change but styles endure. The stockier of the two had a bandanna over his face that he was using for PPE. The other was not wearing a face covering as required by an ordinance in the Town of Lexington.

If you recognize either of these men, please call detective Corporal Courier at 803-359-2067. Your help just may solve this case.
