UPDATE: Lexington police thank community for assistance in finding a woman thought to be in crisis

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) - The Lexington Police Department thanked the community for their assistance in their search for Sushannah Cotton Yandle. She returned home overnight and is receiving care.

Yandle was reported to have left her home Sunday night. Police officers said overnight that when she left, she was in an emotional state and might do harm to herself. They turned to the public for help using their social media accounts and local media contacts. The community quickly rallied to the call passing the word.

A spokesman for the Lexington Police Department said Monday that they wanted to thank their community partners for their assistance once again. Lexington PD has a long history of receiving the community's assistance to solve crimes and locate missing people.
