Lexington County, SC 09/28/2021 (Paul Kirby) – During the 50th Little Miss & Teen Miss South Carolina Pageant held recently in Hartsville, SC, a Lexington teen who is a student at USC was crowned Teen Miss South Carolina 2021. Mary Cassidy “Cassie” Sutton, the daughter of David & Jessica Watts & James Sutton of Lexington brought home the title after competing against 124 contestants from across South Carolina.
During the pageant, winners from previous years performed and introduced themselves onstage. The contestants were competing for over $30,000 in scholarships, along with other prizes. The pageant also presented a check for over $50,000 to Prisma Health Children’s Hospital. Over the years, this event has raised over $500,000 for PHCH since partnering with them in 2002!
Mary Cassidy “Cassie” Sutton is a Freshman at the University of South Carolina. She is involved in many community related activities and events. Cassie won a $3000 savings bond and will travel the state this year representing the pageant
