Lexington Three moves Batesburg-Leesville High School to virtual learning until September 13th

Batesburg-Leesville, SC 09/02/2021 - Beginning on Friday, September 3rd, all students in grades 9th through 12th who attend Batesburg-Leesville High School in Lexington County School District Three will move to virtual or remote learning. This comes as a result of rising COVID-19 numbers at the school among students and staff members. The move to virtual learning will last through Friday, September 10th, with a tentative return to in-person learning planned for Monday, September 13th.

The move to virtual learning only applies to students at Batesburg-Leesville High School and does NOT impact students at any other school in Lexington County School District Three.

The district said that there will be no in-person, school-related practices, activities or games while Batesburg-Leesville High School is in remote learning mode. This means that all sports activities for both JV and Varsity teams are cancelled until the school returns to in-person instruction.

Teachers and staff from Batesburg-Leesville High School will be providing additional instructions to students regarding how classes will operate during this session of remote learning. Students will access all assignments through Google Classroom and are expected to join live class sessions with each teacher during their regularly scheduled class time throughout the remote learning period.
