West Columbia, SC 03/01/2021 - Lexington Two has released its 2021-2022 academic calendar.
The calendar designates the first day for students as Monday, August 16, 2021. Current state law requires that no South Carolina public school start classes before the third Monday in August.
The final day of classes for students will be a half-day on Friday, May 27, 2022.
The new calendar also designates a two-week winter break, week-long spring break, and three weather makeup days as required by state law.
The calendar was approved by the school board at its monthly meeting on February 25. Input on the calendar was gathered from district schools, administrators and others.
