Lexington Two Staff begin receiving vaccinations at district event

West Columbia, SC 03/23/2021 - Lexington Two nurses, in partnership with Lexington Medical Center, administered COVID-19 vaccinations to school district employees on Monday, March 22, the first of two such events.

A steady stream of principals, teachers, assistants, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, and others turned out Monday for the event, held in the auditorium of the Lexington Two Innovation Center.

“Being able to offer this added layer of safety for our employees is very important to us,” said Lexington Two Superintendent Dr. Nicolas Wade. “We appreciate Lexington Medical Center for partnering with us on these events, and we appreciate our families using remote learning days so we could vaccinate employees to boost the safety of our learning environments.”

Lexington Medical Center provided more than 200 vaccine doses for Lexington Two employees who signed up for the first of two vaccination events. The second is scheduled for April 12.
