Lexington Two to offer in-person and virtual teacher fair options for positions in 20/21 school year

West Columbia, SC - Job candidates interested in Lexington Two teaching positions will have the option of scheduling one-on-one sessions at their schools of interest or meeting virtually.

The two options will replace the traditional district-wide recruiting event amid COVID-19, for teaching positions in the 2020-21 school year.

Each of the district’s schools will offer an in-person teacher fair in February. Teaching candidates -- who must register in advance and reserve a time slot -- will be able to go to the schools they’re interested in and meet with the administrative team. Advance scheduling will allow for ample time between candidates in the building at any one time.

Here is a tentative schedule of in-person teacher fairs at schools in early 2021, set for 4 p.m.-6 p.m.:

Cayce Elementary (#TeachCayce): February 16

Springdale Elementary (#TeachSpringdale): February 17

Riverbank Elementary (#TeachRiverbank): February 18

Wood Elementary (#TeachWood): February 22

Congaree Elementary (#TeachCongaree): February 23

Pine Ridge Middle (#TeachPineRidge): February 22

Lexington Two Innovation Center (#TeachInnovationCenter): February 25

New Bridge Academy (#TeachNewBridge): February 25

Three Rivers Residential Treatment Facility (#TeachRTF; event to be held at Lexington Two Innovation Center): February 25

Teaching candidates who would prefer a virtual meeting may instead participate in Lexington Two’s Virtual Teacher Fair on March 2.

Advance registration is required to participate in any of Lexington Two’s Teacher Fairs. Those registered will receive additional event details after the first of the year.
