West Columbia, SC (05/18/2021) - Lexington Two had a special delivery for community partner House of Raeford.
Lexington Two Superintendent Dr. Nicolas Wade, Chief Academic Officer Dixon Brooks and PowerSchool Coordinator Casey Hallman delivered a banner from the SC Waterfowl Association recently to House of Raeford’s West Columbia office, thanking the company and its charitable arm, FLOCK, for a $10,000 donation that provided Camp Leopold Plus programming to the school district through the SC Waterfowl Association.
This year, all Lexington Two students in third through fifth grades were served at all six of the district’s elementary schools. Each class had four on-site lessons for a total of 316 lessons. In total, the SC Waterfowl Association’s Camp Leopold Plus programming served about 79 classrooms and 1,935 students.
FLOCK director Chuck Underhill said school involvement is an important mission.
“When you commit to a community, the most exciting place to start is with that community’s children and those who serve them,” Underhill said previously of donations to Lexington Two. “Partnering with our school district for us is an act of promise, that we believe these actions, donations and dollars will multiply in the most fruitful of ways… enhancing the lives of our next generations, and at the same time getting to come alongside our teachers, staff and administrators in ways that show they have our real support.”
