Lexington, SC Lexington Town and Country City Council of Beta Sigma Phi recently awarded their Annual Educational Scholarship to Anthony J. Moreno, nephew of Anne Black (Preceptor Alpha Theta Chapter). He resides in Greenville, South Carolina, with his mother, Laura Moreno. He is also the grandson of, Beta Sigma Phi member, Mary Arthur of Elkview, West Virginia.
Anthony is a graduating senior at Greenville Technical Charter High School, a dual enrollment Middle College. He was a varsity soccer player, a member of the National Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa Collegiate Honor Society and made both the Dean’s List and President’s List at Greenville Technical College.
His senior project was developing a website called GoodforGreenville.org, a website dedicated to connecting student volunteers with organizations in need. He was involved in many other community projects and organized events through Hispanic Alliances. Anthony will attend Clemson University this fall, majoring in Computer Science.
