Gaston, SC 02/09/2022 – An expert in pediatric nursing, Gaston author, Dr. Andrena Zeigler, just published her new book, But I’m Not Sick, on Saturday January 8, 2022. Although this is not her first publication, it is her first children’s book.
But I’m Not Sick depicts a mother who takes her child for a visit at the doctor’s office while the child protests, “But I’m not sick!” Thanks to this wise mother and a kind doctor who explains the entire process, the child enjoys the visit and looks forward to the next well child checkup. This book is cheerfully illustrated to show children ages 4-10 years that a visit to their health care provider doesn’t have to be scary, nor do they have to be sick.
“I have always wanted to help children within my community and beyond to achieve health and wellness,” says Dr. Zeigler about her book. “But I’m Not Sick shows my use of imagination when examining my patients each day. I hope it eases children’s fears of going for their visits.”
