Lynne Fallaw Named Alive at 25 Instructor of the Year
Gaston, SC 10/01/2026 - Recognized for her extraordinary commitment to protecting the next generation of drivers, Lynne Fallaw has been named the 2026 Alive at 25 Instructor of the Year!
Her work as an educator and her passion for shaping young lives is grounded in a career of public service. Lynne spent 25 years in law enforcement, including 15 years training officers at the state police academy. After witnessing the devastation of traffic collisions, she turned her experience into a deeper commitment to youth roadway safety. Lynne went on to establish a private driving school, where she offered the Alive at 25 program for nearly two decades before transitioning to teach directly as a contract instructor with the NSC Southeastern Chapter in 2025. Over the course of her time with the program, she has delivered approximately 250 courses and reached an estimated 3,500 young drivers.
Lynne's teaching style blends real-world law enforcement experience with practical, relatable guidance that encourages students to think seriously about the choices they make behind the wheel. She creates a classroom environment where young drivers feel comfortable discussing difficult topics and understanding the very real consequences of unsafe behaviors. Feedback from students and families consistently reflect her deeply caring approach, as well as her ability to make important safety lessons memorable.
In addition to teaching defensive driving programs, Lynne serves as an adjunct criminal justice professor at a community college and remains actively involved in her community through service on her local school district Board of Trustees and as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem advocating for children. We are proud to celebrate Lynne's decades of service, dedication to young people and her commitment to preparing safer, more responsible drivers!
