Lexington, SC (06/04/2021 Paul Kirby) – A supervisor with Lexington County EMS was involved in a traffic collision with another vehicle around noon Thursday. A CRO for the SC Highway Patrol said this occurred at the intersection of Charter Oak Road and US Hwy. 378 just northwest of the town of Lexington.
According to Jessica Imbimbo, public information officer for Lexington County, the supervisor from EMS in the SUV was enroute to an emergency and utilizing the vehicle’s warning devices when the collision occurred. She said that neither the county employee nor the civilian in the other vehicle were seriously injured however, the civilian was transported to a local medical center for examination.
The SC State Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the collision as they would in any other wreck that occurred in the unincorporated portions of the county.
