Lexington, SC – 04/06/2021 (Paul Kirby) - Mission Lexington recently announced their Impact Key Players for the month of April 2021. These are the volunteers, church, and ambassador member that they have selected that have made tremendous contributions to their mission to serve the in need population of Lexington County.
• NewSpring Church has been named Mission Lexington’s Church of the Month for their support to Mission Lexington through financial contributions as well as donations for the food pantry. The church has hosted bi-annual food drives that massively impact Mission Lexington’s food pantry for the past several years. One of NewSpring’s campus pastors, Chris Allen has diligently served on Mission Lexington’s Board since 2019.
• Their Volunteer of the Month is recent retiree Joe Mancinelli. He has served at Mission Lexington since October of 2019 in the food pantry. His time with the Peace Corps in Paraguay makes him more adaptable and gives a different perspective to the work that is done on a daily basis at Mission Lexington.
• Their Ambassador of the Month is Troy Fite. He serves Mission Lexington in a variety of ways to organize food drives with his workout group, F3, as well as coordinating efforts with his church, Zion Lutheran Church, to collect food for the food pantry. Also, he has graciously coordinated filled backpacks for our Back to School Supply Drive.
Congratulations and thanks to all the groups and individuals that work so hard every month to ensure that the work of Mission Lexington continues.
