Lexington, SC (06/03/2021) – This week Mission Lexington announced its June Church, Volunteer and Ambassador of the Month. These organizations and individuals have made tremendous contributions of their time and resources to Mission Lexington.
Those winners are:
• Faith United Methodist Church has been named Mission Lexington’s Church of the Month for their support to Mission Lexington through financial contributions, donations for our food pantry and by sending volunteers to serve at Mission Lexington. Their church’s marque consistently encourages the public to drop off food to give to us for the Mission Lexington Food Pantry.
• Their Volunteer of the Month is Jane Miller. She has served at Mission Lexington since May of 2019 as a volunteer in the thrift store. Her background is in nursing, and she has enjoyed learning a new skill by working in retail in the thrift store.
• Their Ambassadors of the Month are George and Nanette Renard. George grew up on North Lake Drive, right across the street from the original "LICS", and watched his parents donate on a consistent basis. He and Nanette consistently visit every week with a carload of items from Mission Lexington’s “Most Needed” list.
“We are beyond grateful for their support and love to honor those who serve alongside our staff,” said Robin W. Bowers, Executive Director of Mission Lexington.
