Mission Lexington receives prescription medication grant from Lexington Medical Center foundation
West Columbia, SC (Paul Kirby) - The Lexington Medical Center foundation has provided a grant to Mission Lexington to help people struggling financially to obtain necessary prescription medication. The grant was for $5,000. The Lexington Medical Center foundation is a philanthropical organization associated with the hospital system. Over the years, they have funded many improvements and good causes that assist those in need and help the medical center provide an increased level of care for the community.
For years, Mission Lexington, previously known as LICS, has served the needs of the disadvantaged in Lexington County. They have provided much needed food, clothing, and funds for expenses that many in the county are blessed enough to deal with if everyday or unexpected expense arise unexpectedly in their family and lives.
In a statement released following the announcement of the grant, Mission Lexington’s executive director Robin W. Bowers said, “We’re beyond grateful to Lexington Medical Center for their continued support through this grant.” She concluded by saying, “This continued partnership allows us to provide another essential service in prescription medications to those in need.”
