Mission Lexington temporarily closed

Lexington, SC - 02/10/2021 (Paul Kirby) - Mission Lexington announced by email Wednesday that they would temporarily close. They took this step after they discovered that one of their employees has tested positive for Covid-19.

In their release, a spokesperson for Missions Lexington said that their Board and Executive Director have decided to take the following precautionary steps:

- At this time, although no one is experiencing any symptoms, out of an abundance of caution, they feel that the best course of action is to coordinate testing for all employees. They will be closed until further notice pending test results. - The entire Mission Lexington campus is being disinfected today and they will continue to be diligent in their efforts to sanitize. Masks for all employees will continue to be required while at work.

- If anyone tests positive they will require a negative test prior to returning to work.

In closing they said, "We have been blessed with health for all staff members throughout this season. Please continue to pray for our employees and their families." They will post updates as they reopen the Mission Lexington campus when it is safe and appropriate to do so.
